Suppliers of Quality Turf to Bideford and North DevonSeeded turfOur turf is grown from seed in response to demand for a much improved turf which retains the benefit of hard wear but with the added properties of a fine, dense green sward. It is cultivated on a sandy loam soil which enables us to offer this consistent grade all year round, almost regardless of weather conditions. The following seed mixture is typical but can vary as it is constantly reviewed in an effort to produce the optimum quality of turf for our customers.
We have found that this mixture produces a turf which is fine enough for a stunning domestic lawn, has excellent wear tolerance yet at the same time is easy to care for. It is also used extensively for golf tees and amenity areas which are subject to wear. Please be aware all of our turf has been managed for the control of leather jackets, but still be aware they can cause a problem. TopsoilOver the years, our customers’ preferences primarily have been for sandy loam, consequently we stock only this type of topsoil which is ready for bulk bag delivery to your site. Bulk bag is approximately 1 tonne. Measuring upEach roll of turf covers an area of approximately one square yard (16" wide and 81" long). If you are not comfortable calculating the area to be turfed, measure the dimensions - imperial or metric, whichever you prefer - then contact us and we'll be happy to do the sums for you and quote for the cost of supply and delivery.
